9 years strong, United Way of Ashland reaches its campaign goal
United Way of Ashland County’s streak is at nine years and counting. The local charity fundraising campaign reached its goal of $1,070,999 by the end of 2015 with donations still coming in. That makes nine years in a row now United Way has exceeded its annual campaign goal. “We were one of the first in Ohio to reach our campaign goal,” United Way executive director Ev DeVaul said. Although there wasn’t an official deadline, the goal was set to be reached by the end of the year and the target was reached by New Year’s Eve, campaign chairman Al Holdren said.
